Olympic-Logo-a-Day: One Year, Finale
Today, London has woken up to the Final Countdown of the London 2012. While flying back to London from my holidays two days ago, I read in the EasyJet in-flight magazine that all the church bells around the country will be heard at 8 am to mark this occasion. Unfortunately, I heard none in North London – perhaps the bells should have been rented from Central Europe, where they wake you up at any time, whether you like it or not!
But hurrah, I was woken up to the fabulous news of the following alternative London 2012 – that a personal, not-for-profit art, project Olympic-Logo-a-Day by Sarah Hyndman reached its finale after a year of remaking an Olympic rings logo every day. A fabulous video of all logos has been made to mark this occasion. A lot of creative ideas, energy and personal commitment. Congrats, Sarah and to others who helped her on her way!
I contributed my logo of five doughnuts to her project on the 206th day. The doughnuts are traditionally eaten in Slovenia during the carnival period.
Enjoy!
